It has been advised that Court Fees will change in April 2015.

Money claims include debt such as loans, utility bills and business debts owed under contract for goods or services delivered. ‘Unspecified’ claims – for example personal injury where specific amounts of claims are unknown – are also affected.

New Fees
Claims between £10,000 and £200,000 will be charged at five per cent of the claim. Those over £200,000 will be fixed at £10,000.

Furthermore consultation, which ends next month, is taking place in respect of changes to fees under the Ministry of Justice. Proposals are that possession claim fees will rise by £75 and the fee for general applications will go up from £50 to £100 for applications made by consent and from £155 to £255 for contested claims.
